Midnight Transit

Overview

A nocturnal diary of cities and last trains

Midnight Transit follows a traveler who is always between places: station platforms at blue hour, taxi windows streaked with rain, hotel corridors humming after midnight. Wardrobe stays grounded — striped shirting, worn denim, a single structured coat — so the changing city light does the storytelling.

Shot across three cities in available light only, the series embraces motion blur and long exposures as part of its language rather than flaws to correct.

Approach

Available light only

No flash, no rigs — just sodium streetlamps, train fluorescents, and the last of the sunset. Posing stayed documentary: waiting, watching, walking. The honesty of the constraint gives the series its cinematic unease.

Outcome

Published across two features

Midnight Transit ran as a twelve-page editorial feature and later headlined a travel-themed group exhibition of fashion photography.
